Henrik Schwarz, Âme, and Dixon’s The Grandfather Paradox is a really fascinating document. On the one hand, it’s a dancefloor-ready mix CD which, as RA puts it nicely, “[invests the] most academically stripped-bare productions with disco sweat and swagger.”  On the other hand, it’s a meticulously curated survey of musical minimalism from the last 50 years. And eMusic subscribers can get the whole thing for just one download, which has gotta be the sweetest deal ever.
