Adele - “Hometown Glory” (High Contrast Remix)
This might be the most wonderfully emotive breakbeat track I’ve heard since the MJ Cole remix of Jill Scott’s “Getting in the Way,” although it’s much more of a thermonuclear weapon. Listening to it, you can kind of remember why Roni Size won a Mercury Music Prize. For some reason, drum’n’bass actually still sounds like the future.
