The Golden Filter - “Thunderbird”
I’ve mostly thought of the Golden Filter as remixers (and they are pretty alright at it - check out their genius versions of “Please Don’t Touch” and “New in Town” if you don’t believes me). But hell if this original track doesn’t bring in the funk. Wispy vocals, chunky bass, massive drumline - an antidote for the idea that the new disco doesn’t actually do anything new.
